Silver Liquid Asphaltic Sealer

Designed as a silver reflective asphaltic-based paint, self-priming. No additional primers are required. Made using pigments, a blend of refinery bitumen, asphaltic cement, mineral spirits solvent, silver pigments.

Features

Uses

Used to seal, preserve, brighten or reflect UV Rays off galvanize roof tops, coat fence posts, chain link wires, industrial pipe lines, container tops, metal surfaces exposed to sea blast

Application

  • Can be easily applied by brush, 1/2″ pile roller or sprayed on
  • No special skills are required
  • Surfaces must be dry
  • Remove all loose paint, debris, sand & moss
  • Oil spots can be treated with a degreaser or washed with detergent depending on the severity of the stain
  • Allow the first coat to dry thoroughly before applying the second coat
  • The weather must be warm and rain must not be expected within 8 hours to ensure good application
  • Do not dilute
  • For applications of porous concrete surfaces, use our Gator Grip – Quick Dry Concrete Primer Penetrating Solution prior, and wait 20-30 minutes before using silver coating

Coverage

  • A gallon covers 80-100 Sqft on metal surface and quart covers 20-25 sqft on metal surface
  • For porous surface, gallon 65 sqft and quart 15-20sqft

Limitations

  • If over-applied, drying will be retarded where foot traffic occurs
  • This will be classified as “wear” and an annual coat may be required
  • Use in well-ventilated areas
  • Flammable material
  • Use only on the exterior of chemical or solvent-transfer systems / lines
  • Resists minor solvent splashes
  • Do not wipe. Apply only in warm weather at 23-32 degrees celcius
  • Drying of material can be achieved within 4-8 hours if not over applied during applications
  • Do not store above 120 degrees celcius
  • Keep away from heat or open flames. Do not swallow or allow to get into eyes. Material contains mineral spirits solvent
  • Keep away from children
